Area 7 IBC Betta Pals Program
The Help and Support You Need to Start Breeding Bettas!

The IBC  would like to supply new members with their FIRST breeding pair of bettas as soon as possible, free (except for shipping) to set them up for breeding Bettas for the first time.

This is a volunteer program and only works as long as volunteers and their fish are available:

At no time does the IBC guarantee ANY member free bettas. We only do this when eligible recipients meet selection criteria and we have breeders willing to donate the fish and the time to ship them to new members.

The chair will contact a volunteer breeder in your district, who will contact the new member as to the availability of fish, shipping fees and the shipping schedule.

The breeder, upon receipt of payment, will ship the fish.

A few basic rules:

You must be a first time breeder

You must not already own multiple male and female bettas

Although you may specify whether you are interested in Wild type or Fancy type bettas, you cannot pick the species, color or tail type of fish.

Don’t keep bothering the breeder. Work with them on their schedule, after all they are the ones donating the fish and their time.

You must pay the volunteer breeder shipping costs before they will ship the fish.

Remember, this is a volunteer program to help new breeders get some stock and it is run by the breeders themselves.

Weather is also a factor and in winter months shipments may be suspended until spring.

Sometimes stock may not be available.

Just joining the IBC does not guarantee you will receive fish.

**If you are an active breeder and would like to donate extra stock to the program, contact the Betta Pals Chairperson, Jarrod Nielsen

Donations are critical to the success of this program.**
