Class List
The 2015-16 Area 7 International Class List is published on our website here. All classes in all divisions are being offered in this show.

Mailed-In Entries
Entrants who are unable to attend may send their show fish by mail or courier with some provisos:

- Return arrangements must be confirmed with the Show Chairs, Joel & Shane before the deadline for entries
- All return materials must be provided, including new heat packs, safe bags to double-bag and elastic bands to double-tie
- Postage or courier vouchers must be provided.
- Fish must arrive on day/s specified by showchairs once they have been contacted.

Mailed in entries will only be accepted provided you have contacted the Show Chair PRIOR to September 23rd at 5pm to discuss the above considerations. It is very important that you contact us to discuss before you send your fish so that we can ensure we are able to house them and have the people around to look after them. We will provide the mail-in address at that time. Please email Joel & Shane or send a private message on facebook to the showchairs

Walk-In Entries
We much prefer you to bring your own entries and bench in with us on Friday 28th September from 3 - 8:30pm. If you are unable to bench-in at this time please contact the Show Chair to discuss alternatives. Please note that you must still send your entry form and fees (unless otherwise arranged) by 23rd September 2018 even if you are walking-in your entries.

Benching Out
All show entries must remain on display until the auction begins. We prefer that entrants bench out after the auction ends. However if you need to bench out earlier you may only do so after the auction begins by speaking with a show steward. All benching out must be supervised by a show steward.

Auction Fish
You may choose to auction your fish at the end of the show. This is an optional part of participating in the show, please read the following:

Auction proceeds will be returned via Direct Debit if you have mailed-in your entries or collected on the day if you are present.

Should you wish to participate in auction, we request that you indicate a reserve price. Auction fish must have a minimum reserve of $5. If you are unsure if your fish will sell at auction for at least $5 you should not put it up for auction. If a fish doesn’t meet the reserve it will be passed-in and the fish returned to you at your expense (see mailed in entries above.)

Please note, there is a 20% commission on all fish sold.  Commission fees will go to Brisbane Betta Breeders

Trading Table
A Trading Table will be run during the event. You must be physically in attendance in order to participate in the Trading Table. Mailed-in items will not be accepted. Only IBC or Brisbane Betta Breeders members may participate in the Trading Table. 10% commission is taken on all sales. Commission fees will go to Brisbane Betta Breeders.
On arrival, please complete a Trading Table form and hand this to the Trading Table Steward with your items. All items should be clearly marked with the price and a description of the item. All items must be related to the aquarium hobby.
Dry goods, equipment, fish food, fish (any species) and plants are all acceptable.

New Breeders
The New Breeders classes are intended for the beginning breeders who are new to showing Betta.
Entrants who have shown in the Self-Bred classes are ineligible to show in the New Breeder classes. Entrants may show in purchased entries in the Purchased Classes and self-bred entries in New Breeders at the same show.  Entrants may only continue to show in New Breeders division for a maximum of 2 years.
New Breeders winning at least three (3) annual class championships in the same show year shall become permanently ineligible to enter in the New Breeder classes and at that point must enter in the Regular classes from then on.

Purchased Fish
As per IBC rulings, all fish shown in the purchased classes need to have been owned by the exhibitor for a minimum one month prior to show date

Show Points Structure
IBC members will accumulate points towards Area 7 end of year awards for Group A regular classes only.
